MEISA General Meeting 2/13/12 Recap

Here’s what you missed…

  • We’re having an UNO’s UNLIMITED PIZZA AND PASTA FUNDRAISER on President’s Day [2/20] 6PM AT UNO’s ON HUNTINGTON! It only costs $10 and you can stuff your face with food. We need the money in advance, and can give your money to one of the E-Board members in afterHOURS between 5-10PM this Tuesday for our Valentine’s Day show. Otherwise, come see the lovely Margo on Thursday between 5-6PM in the Shillman Dunkin’ Donuts to drop off your money.
  • TOMORROW FEBRUARY 14th MEISA presents Follow Your Hero w/ special guests American Verse and Actor|Observer for FREE in afterHOURS. Doors at 7. Show at 7:30. NU +1. RSVP Here: https://www.facebook.com/events/158824984233843/
  • 2/29 Warped Tour University show with Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, Moving Mountains, and Kevin Lyman (creator of Warped Tour). Help wanted for interviews, and you can submit questions to ask them.
  • Wed AND Thurs 2/29 and 3/1 is our other UNO’s fundraiser where you’ll bring a flyer in.
  • DIY Pop-Punk Show 3/14 We have 1.5-2k for two openers, and we need you to come up with possible bands from the pop-punk genre
  • Blackman Show with WRBB…come to our meetings to learn more about what’s in the works.
  • NYC trip on Friday March 23rd! We’re taking the 7am bus to NYC and will have info soon about which bus so we can all go together. We’ll know which companies that we’ll be visiting soon.
  • Pre-Warped U Panel on 2/23 from 3-4PM
    -Bad Rabbits, Bad Rabbits’ Tour Manager, Manager of Moving Mountains
  • State of the Record Industry Panel coming in March w/ Mike Dreese
    -Indies/Major labels, possibly Newbury Comics owner
  • Young Entrepreneurs in the Industry Panel coming in March as well.
